Dr. Nancy L. Goldman, Psy.D., MFT is a California state licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Psychoanalyst in private practice for over twenty years. Specializing in attachment issues and disorders, she also has extensive experience in individual, couples and group psychotherapy. She has assisted numerous clients over the years with life's problems concerning parenting, career and personal issues.
Dr. Goldman works with adults, both individually and in couples, dealing with issues of the Self. She prefers long term analytically based treatment. Dr. Goldman has experience treating gays and lesbians, women with fertility issues or recovering from full hysterectomies, men and women experiencing divorce, career issues, depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, sexuality issues, compulsive behavior, narcissistic disorders, borderline disorders, individuation issues, grief and loss, and severe trauma.
Dr. Goldman has taught extensively at the post-graduate level on Attachment Theory and is on the faculty of The Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, and has taught at Ryokan College and the Graduate Center for Child Development and Psychotherapy.
Dr. Goldman is an active member of the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, currently serving as President-elect of the Board of Directors. She is also a Primary Therapist at Bridges to Recovery, a private residential treatment center for Mood Disorders, including bi-polar, anxiety, and depression, as well as the treatment of major trauma, eating disorders, and psychotic disorders.
