Karen Savlov is a licensed marriage and family therapist and psychoanalyst practicing in West Los Angeles.  She specializes in autism spectrum disorders, childhood disorders, personality disorders, depression, anger management, assertion training, communication, anxiety, relationships and work related issues.  She has worked for many years with children, adolescents and adults including those on the autism spectrum continuum.  She has also provided trainings and support groups for parents of children with autism as well as groups for college age students with developmental disabilities.  She has made presentations on this subject at numerous conferences and meetings.  She is currently writing a book on the topic of Autism. 

Previous to her work as a marriage and family therapist, she worked at UCLA as the Manager of Organizational Development.  Within that capacity, she led many process groups and helped staff within departments to find ways to work together more harmoniously.  She has a broad background in working with major organizational problems and has been instrumental in helping organizations to function more optimally.  While at UCLA, she gave workshops in communication skills, conflict management, stress management, time management, supervision, leadership, assertion training, anger management, problem solving, implementing change and strategic planning.
