I am married with 2 children: one adult son, 31 and one daughter, 13. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, was the oldest of 3 sons, the usual mixture of love and neurosis in a middle class Jewish home in the 50s-70s.
My interests include: Bicycling, Broadway Theater, Judaic Studies and Psychoanalysis
I am an Associate Clinical Professor (Volunteer) at UC Irvine Dept of Psychiatry, Senior Faculty at New Center for Psychoanalysis, and a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Institute for Contemporary PsA, LA and Newport Psychoanalytic Institute.
I have always enjoyed teaching and supervision and I have stayed open to contemporary and post-modern developments in our field. I am a strong believer in intersubjective, relational, complex non-linear dynamic views of the psychoanalytic process. Most important, I want to assist people to alleviate their pain and distress.
